Wanna Read My Journal? Vol. 1

Taylor from the Daily Tay completely inspired me to take an old journal entry and share it on my blog. She does a series called "Limited Too Tuesdays" every once in awhile. So I've decided to make a little series of it, like Taylor. I will take an entry or two to share from each year that I've been writing in my journal. This volume is a special one because I had a diary first that I started writing in when I was nine. Once I turned twelve I started the journal that I still write in every single day.

Ummm.. I feel like I didn't learn my lesson at all. I feel like I was just pissed off that I wasn't smart enough to keep my mouth shut. "Boy did I learn my lesson; if you're going to steal from your grade four teacher.. don't tell anyone about it!"

The next journal entry is shocking for two reasons. I was throwing around a lot of f-bombs for a child my age. But please understand that my brother and sister were four and and nearly six years older than me. My siblings were teenagers and I am under the assumption that the f word was said... a lot. Plus, I clearly did not like being called Grease Ball. The second entry seems a bit personal to share, but the loss was a miscarriage and my mom must have let it slip that she had one once and I asked what it was. As you can see; I wasn't all that concerned. I was more interested in universAty.

Well, isn't that sad news that our bird Percy died. The way he died was extremely comical. He was found head first.. ass up deep in his bird feeder. " I guess he just couldn't take it any longer..." Take what!?! Sitting on his perching chirping, eating and sleeping all day!?  I'm also glad that I got a pair of shorts with a top that can't come off. That might get awkward if I had one that would come off.... Ohh Nine Year Old Me; you are something else..

Did you keep a diary as a kid?
Have you looked back at them lately!? If so- you should totally do it, it's so much fun! (And embarrassing..!)

I love this. And how self-centered all kids are. I tried to find my old diaries last time I was home but I can't find any of them! Which is tragic because I bet they were hilariously awful! x

OMG Percy! I just laughed so hard reading that. And the lesson learned about stealing books- that was a serious lesson ;). i dig the pants you drew at the top and then scratched out lol. I don't event want to know what mine say. LOVE THIS.

This is freaking adorable, especially the cussing. Oh, and the deep thoughts about Percy and death. I kind of want the words "I guess he couldn't take it no longer" inscribed on my tombstone. I will be sure to attribute the quote to you, of course!

hahaha--these pages and the handwriting look suspiciously like my own diary--I started one when I was 7 and kept it up pretty consistently till I got married. When I was 7 I know I did a alot of recording of what we ate for lunch and crazy stuff like that... :P "mac'n'cheese today"

I totally kept a diary- it is definitely cringe worth, but also fun to look back on!
